Yes, we definitely want to do this. hunter dps in fights - The whole pet bar needs a little work. There are still some bugs relating to which abilities can be moved on or off the bar and whether they default to autocast or not. We want the bar to work much more like character action bars.

I’ll add that the melee attack issue for World of Warcraft hunters themselves is something we keep discussing hunter dps in fights. While we are unlikely to go back to a melee-focused build for World of Warcraft hunters, we might consider a model where World of Warcraft hunters don’t run away most of the time but switch to melee attacks – perhaps even a single punishing attack on a cooldown before the WoW hunter Disengaged or whatever. This would be one of those things that helped World of Warcraft hunters feel more different than actual magic casters, and might make them care about melee weapons as more than stat sticks.
