Missing races in World of Warcraft?
I signed up about a month ago and have the burning crusades installed. For some reason the last race in each column, Horde and Alliance, are grayed out for me so I can\’t choose them. What\’s the problem?First Step
There could be a number of issues:
You say you have Burning Crusade installed, but you could easily have it installed and not have your account upgraded to BC.
This would be the case if, say, you bought World of Warcraft, and trial-accounted Burning Crusade. If you did that, you would have it installed, but once your trial expired, those races would not be playable for you. You would need to go into Account Information on the World of Warcraft website, and upgrade your account status to Burning Crusade.
Another, less likely problem, is that there is something legitimately wrong with the way your install went, or how your account was set up.
If this is the case (you can visit BC content on your regular characters, learn Jewelcrafting, progress past level 60), but are still unable to create Draenei or Blood Elf characters, then you need to contact Blizzard\’s Customer Service, either by calling the number on your game box, by posting in the Customer Service Forum, or by petitioning a Game Master in-game via the petition system.

- Can happen could be that the game is faulty or is not fully installed, same thing happened to me in Crysis then i reinstalled it and it worked =)
- You most likely are referring to the Blood Elves and the Dranei, both of which are only available in the expansion pack The Burning Crusades.
- You have to upgrade your account to Burning Crusade. You can do this in Account Management. It will require your Burning Crusade CD key.
- Sounds like you installed the Burning Crusade CD, but did not update your account with the Burning Crusade Account Key, which means you didn\’t actually do anything.
